Does anyone know any beautiful wedding reception sites in Rhode Island?
My fiance and I are looking for different but beautiful wedding reception sites in Rhode Island and some parts of Massachusetts, such as Seekonk, Swansea and so on. Two of my cousins just got married, one at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, Rhode Island and one at Independence Harbor. I want to have a beautiful wedding just as they did, but I also don’t want to have it at the same place. I just would like to see your input. Thank you so much!!

Anyone have any ideas on how to make a morning wedding reception fun?
My fiance and I are wanting to do our wedding in the morning, probably 9 or 10ish. We want to be out of there by 1 or so to go on our cruise the same day. Our problem is we still want our guests to have a lot of fun at the reception, but I’m not sure how to make that happen since I think half of them will still be asleep. Any ideas for fun things to do that don’t require people to be fully awake?
When I say asleep, I just meant tired. We were planning on having a softball game, maybe carnival games, etc for a reception (it will be really casual because that’s the type of people we are). It’s going to be at a park that has a playground. I’m just worried 9 (because that’s when it will probably be) is a little early to be running around at a park. I just want to have fun casual things to do that don’t require people to be awake and alert that early in the morning.
When do the bride and groom normally leave the wedding reception?
The reception starts at 6 until 12. My fiance and I are planning on leaving before it is over, but do not know what time is a good time. Also are any of you brides past and future change out of your wedding dress into a party dress? I was thinking of doing this also, but don’t know if I should. thanks.
What is a polite way to say that our wedding reception is small and private?
Me and fiance have about 300 people who want to attend our wedding but our receptioin will feed 150. We want to invite people to the wedding still but let them know we cannot feed everyone at the reception. Alot of these people are work associates whom we do not see outside of work. We were thinking about adding a response card that says thank you for attending our wedding—– reception is private.

I am getting married on the 28th and I wanted some suggestions for songs to play at the reception. My fiance likes country and I like hip hop. I also would like some good classics.

I was trying to think of neutral music to play during my wedding reception (it’s a couple years away, but i still love planning it! hehe)
would Frank Sinatra (or that style) be neutral enough? It’s a very small wedding/reception with 20 people or so, including us and our priest! I think that would be acceptable, don’t you?
what other music might I play (CD’s or ipod type thing) that would be generally acceptable? ie: no country, rock, rap, hip hop, oldies (like, beach boys or beatles oldies – i love them but my fiance isn’t into them at all) or things like that. Christian music is good too.

Where should I have my wedding reception?
I’m getting married April 16th and my fiance and I already have the church that we’re getting married at picked out, but we need to find a place to have our wedding reception at. Preferably in the Twins cities area. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Our wedding is in may, invites are out. my car needs a transmission.The most costly thing is the reception…how to go about as cheap as possible? If it were up to me I’d call everyone and say weddings on but reception is cancelled but I know my fiance would never go for it.

A wedding reception 1 month and a half after the wedding?
My fiance and I are "eloping" and not able to have the reception right away… We are getting married the weekend of May 2nd, however, we are not able to have the reception until June 13, which is about a month and a half later. I was just curious as to how to go about doing things. I’m completely clueless… Most likely, we will have a DJ. It will just be him and I (no wedding party). I’m just looking for input from people who have already gone through all this I suppose. Any help at all would be great!
