How much beer/soda should I purchase for my wedding reception?
Hi all! I’m planning an outdoor wedding/reception on August 28th. We are expecting around 250 guests, and I have no idea how much beer and soda to provide for our guests!
The reception will be an evening pig roast (~6pm-midnight). Our caterer will be providing lemonade and coffee for our guests.
So my questions are: How many kegs of beer should we order for the reception? What kinds of beer should we get? How many 2-liters of soda should we get? And what kind of soda should we get?
I appreciate any and all suggestions

I’m trying to plan a wedding for my little sister, and we’re running into some budgeting issues. I’m wondering if anyone has any creative recipes that we can prepare for the reception instead of hiring an expensive caterer. We’re fairly good cooks–just not experienced with making "party" types of foods.

There will be about 40 at the reception. I’ll mostly be handling appetizers, finger foods, and deserts.

How do you find a wedding reception venue WITHOUT a caterer?
I am in Durham, North Carolina, and I am assisting in planning a wedding. The bride has selected a ceremony site AND a caterer, but no reception venue. She can’t use the reception at the church because they won’t allow dancing. Any idea how to locate a reception site where you can outsource the catering?
