Can we have a bar tab limit at our wedding reception without offending our guests?
We are having a formal evening wedding and reception this November. We were wondering if we could save money by putting a cap on our bar tab. Would people be offended if the bar closes at a certain point and only wine was served after the bar limit has been reached? And should we still pay for drinks if people request them after the cut off?
What kind of candy won't melt in hot weather that would be good for an outdoor wedding reception?
I am looking for suggestions on what to give my attendants for a wedding favor. I wanted to do m&ms but if the weather is 90 degrees out then I am hesitant to buy something that will melt. Does anyone have any ideas? I bought some small baskets to put the favors in (with the plan of buying candy to fill it with). The wedding is in mid July and the reception will be under a tent.

We are having a small wedding ceremony in a back yard, with the reception in the same location if the weather is nice. If we have poor weather we have a small hall booked. We are having a hard time thinking of a way to entertain such a small crowd for a few hours that includes a few small children and seniors. We thought of a DJ or a band but think that might not be a good idea with such a small crowd, but other than socializing and drinking we are stumped. We are simple people with simple tastes. Im being induced tommorow and this saturday my boyfriend is in a friends wedding so i was thinking IF my body is up for it i just might go to the reception. And my boyfreinds mom is uspet about the fact he’ll be exposed to germs and so forth. And also let me add this is a SMOKE FREE reception…if anyone wants to smoke they HAVE to go outside the building and i’d only be at the reception dinner for a few hours. Also i plan on breastfeeding.

It came in a black bottle and had a colorful but dark label on it. The type I had was White Zinfandel, but I’m sure it came in more than just that. How do I plan a 25th wedding anniversary brunch and reception?
I am beginning to plan my 25th wedding anniversary. I am thinking about a champagne brunch and reception, but I have no idea what this involves. I do plan to hold it as a catered affair in a historic mansion, but other than that I have no idea what I should look for. How many hours; what type of venues, would it be the same as planning a regular wedding reception, etc. I am actually trying to hold to the same hours as my original wedding reception: 10 am church ceremony with a 12 noon reception.
